Prepare the event first
Attendance is recorded against an event, so confirm the event's branch, date, time and venue before check-in begins.
- 1Open Events.
- 2Create or open the gathering.
- 3Confirm the branch and schedule.
- 4Save changes before sharing check-in access.
Record attendance manually
Open Attendance, choose the event and mark the people who attended. Search for an existing member before creating a visitor entry. Review the count before leaving the page.
attendance.mark is required, and branch-scoped officers can mark only their branch.
Use QR or public self check-in
Where enabled, open the event's check-in action and share the generated QR or public link only for that gathering. The link is designed for attendance submission, not general access to ChurchHub.
Regenerate or stop sharing a link if it reaches the wrong audience.
Handle visitors carefully
Record only the information needed for welcome and follow-up. A visitor does not need to become a full member record immediately. Follow the organisation's consent and safeguarding practices when collecting contact information.
Correct attendance
Open the same event and review its attendance records. Correct an accidental mark while preserving the event and member context. Do not move a record to another organisation or branch to make totals match.
Review attendance trends
Open Reports and choose an attendance view. Confirm the event type, branch and date range before interpreting a trend. Compare like-for-like gatherings and investigate missing data before treating a decline as real.
Why someone is missing
Check the selected event, active branch, member status and search spelling. If a member belongs to another branch, an organisation-scoped administrator may need to change context or correct the member's primary branch.
